Katie Price's new mother-in-law is "happy" about her whirlwind marriage to Lee Andrews.

The former glamour model, 47, announced her engagement to the businessman earlier this week - just months after she split from her former partner JJ Slater - and on Sunday (25.01.26) she confirmed the pair had married just days after she flew out to Dubai to meet him for the first time.

And while the news is said to have come as a surprise to Katie's family, Lee's mum Trisha has confirmed she was aware they were getting hitched and she is simply happy that her son is happy, although she's been left unimpressed by online gossip.

Trisha told the Mirror: “There’s a lot of lies going around about Lee and that’s made me really upset. He’s not been married twice. I just want to defend my son, but I can’t say much more until I know everything.

“He did tell me that the wedding was happening. He spoke to me and if he is happy, I am happy - he’s my son, and that’s all that matters."

The clairvoyant is aware of her daughter-in-law's fame but insisted she never held any strong opinions about her.

She said: “Of course, I know who Katie is. I’ve always been very neutral about her. Everyone deserves a chance, you should never judge anyone in life."

She jokingly added: “You can ask what it’s like to have a famous daughter-in-law, but she’s got a famous mother-in-law!”

Katie revealed she and Lee had connected online before they met in person and had even got matching tattoos and wedding rings before they saw one another face-to-face.

She told The Sun newspaper: "How I met Lee was esoteric; we connected [by] both checking each others’ socials and quickly realised: 'Wow, this is for me'.

"In the old-fashioned way, first by words which captured us both. That evolved deeper as we connected further within days [getting] matching tattoos, and then both deciding to buy rings for the other.

"All this without even meeting, we let fate, but you could say destiny, decide."

She went on to add: "I’m just so happy with my person that is just as happy as I am. What we have, they haven’t even invented the words. He has now the best version of me which can only grow more, knowing we are each others'.

"On the wedding, all I can say is ‘fatale’, and this was a wedding at First Sight."

Pictures taken on the couple's big day show Katie wearing a long white dress with raunchy cut-outs as she stands with Lee saying her vows in an outdoor venue adorned with rose petals.

She later confirmed the marriage on Instagram, writing: "Happiest Mr and Mrs".

It is Katie's fourth trip down the aisle after previous marriages to Peter Andre - father of her children Junior and Princess, from 2005 until 2009, Alex Reid, between 2010 and 2012, and Kieran Hayler - dad to Bunny and Jett - from 2013 to 2021. Katie is also mother to eldest son Harvey from a previous relationship.

Lee is Katie's fourth husband but the ninth man she has been engaged to.

The model-turned-TV star had five previous engagements which failed to end in a wedding with Katie previously being betrothed to Warren Furman, Scott Sullivan, Leandro Penna, Kris Boyson and Carl Woods.

She confirmed her engagement to Lee on Sunday by showing off her giant ring as she posed by a collection of red roses spelling out: 'Will you marry me Katie?'

Katie also showed off her partner's hand, which has a fresh tattoo of her name inked on, and revealed that the pair were celebrating with Champagne, strawberries and chocolate cake.

After the wedding, Katie went on to compare her story to Julia Roberts movie Pretty Woman by calling Lee her "real life Richard Gere".
