Tom Hiddleston would love to take part in The Celebrity Traitors or Strictly Come Dancing
Hollywood actor Tom Hiddleston has admitted he would love to take part in an upcoming series of The Celebrity Traitors or hit the dance floor for a turn in Strictly Come Dancing.
Tom Hiddleston would love to take part in The Celebrity Traitors or hit the dance floor for a turn in Strictly Come Dancing.
The Thor star, 44, has admitted he's a big fan of both BBC shows and would happily sign up to spend a season in Scotland as a castmember on the murder-mystery series or learn some new dance moves to take part in hit talent show Strictly.
According to The Sun newspaper, Tom was asked if he would like to join either of the shows and he replied: "Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. I’m a massive, massive fan of both."
A source added to the publication: "It is frankly the ultimate decision. Of course Tom’s schedule is more likely to allow him to film The Traitors for a month in Scotland than commit to Strictly’s intense four months, but what an absolute gift to his BBC bosses to hear their leading man is up for both."
Tom previously discussed his love of The Traitors and admitted he would want to be a faithful - the group tasked with hunting the traitors in their midst - so he could "play detective" and would have a "clean" conscience.
During an appearance on BBC Radio 2, he said: "I mean the celebrity one would be amazing.
"I think the whole show, the format is just the most ingenious thing, isn't it? It's completely compulsive. Maybe the best television I've ever seen."
Tom added: "I'd like to be a faithful because then you can play detective, right?
"And you know that your conscience is clean and your heart is pure, and you're just watching and trying to figure people out
"'If you're a Traitor it's more of an acting exercise, right? It's a game, you have to keep deceiving and cloaking and dissembling and basically lying to people.
"It would be interesting though. I don't know, I think being a faithful would be more of a curiosity scratcher somehow."
The Sun reports Tom also spoke about watching The Celebrity Traitors - which aired in the UK in the autumn - during a recent question-and-answer session in New York with the actor comparing the show's final to the Super Bowl.
He said: "There was a version of it with celebrities in the UK in the autumn - it was massive. I mean, this extraordinary thing, it united the entire nation.
"I think 11 million people, which is a lot in the UK, watched the finale live. It was like a kind of a sporting event, like a World Cup final or a Super Bowl or something."
