He’s taken audiences on high-speed chases, sky dives, and space-bound stunts, but Tom Cruise’s love life has been just as much of a thrill ride.

Following his recent split from Ana de Armas, the Mission: Impossible star is back in the headlines, reminding us all that when it comes to romance, Cruise rarely hits the brakes.

Ana de Armas

Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas began their relationship in early 2025, having met while filming underwater sci-fi thriller Deeper, released earlier this year. Their romance lasted approximately nine months before they amicably parted ways in early October. Despite the split, they remain on good terms and continue to collaborate professionally, with de Armas cast alongside Cruise in upcoming movie Pressure.

A source close to the pair told The Sun newspaper: "Tom and Ana had a good time together but their time as a couple has run its course. They are going to remain good friends but they aren’t dating anymore. They just realised they weren’t going to go the distance and that they are better off as mates. The spark had gone between them but they still love each other’s company and they’ve both been really adult about it."

Hayley Atwell

Although their relationship was never confirmed, the couple - who met on the set of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning - were rumoured to have been dating in 2020.

Speculation about the couple began to run rampant when Hayley insisted they shared a “platonic love”.

She said: “What I feel is the truly extraordinary power of platonic love, which seems to be sometimes underrepresented.”

However, according to The Sun newspaper, the pair split in June 2023 due to their busy schedules, but remain good friends.

Katie Holmes

In April 2005, Tom and Katie Holmes began their romance, quickly being dubbed "TomKat" by the media.

Tom famously (and embarrassingly) declared his love for the former Dawson's Creek actress during an appearance on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' in May 2005.

In 2006, they welcomed their daughter Suri into the world and then married in November at the 15th-century Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, in a Scientologist ceremony attended by many stars, including David and Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez and John Travolta.

Mark Ronson was hired to DJ for the celebrity filled reception.

Sadly, this seemingly fairy tale romance didn't last with Katie filing for a divorce in June 2012.

Sofia Vergara

Tom and Sofia briefly dated in 2005, but separated after it became clear that the Modern Family star would not renounce her Catholic faith and convert to Scientology.

Andrew Morton, the author of Tom Cruise: An Unauthorised Biography, wrote: "It soon became clear that she was being auditioned for the biggest role of her life - Mrs. Tom Cruise. It was made clear that if she took the part, she would have to renounce her Catholic faith and convert to Scientology.”

Nazanin Boniadi

Both Tom and Nazanin are members of the Church of Scientology, and dated from 2004 to 2005.

According to a report from Vanity Fair, the church had selected the General Hospital star for the actor, but the organisation quickly denied the claim.

Nicole Kidman

Whilst working on Days of Thunder together, romance blossomed between Tom and Nicole and they married in December 1990.

The couple then adopted Isabella and Connor, born in 1992 and 1995, respectively.

They went their separate ways in 2001.

When asked what she was looking forward to after their split, Nicole said: “Well, I can wear heels now”, in an obvious jab against Tom’s short stature.
