Ariana Grande has responded to cruel comments from fans after she was forced to miss the Wicked: For Good premiere in Brazil.
Ariana Grande has begged fans not to "wish danger on us" after she missed Brazil's Wicked: For Good premiere.
The 32-year-old actress - who is reprising her role as Glinda the Good Witch in the highly anticipated musical sequel - was forced to miss the event on Tuesday (04.11.25) after issues with her flight, but some people have gone overboard with their reactions.
She wrote on her Instagram Story: "Please don't wish danger on us. We didn everything we could and I promise you no one is more upset than I am, I promise.
"No matter how upset or disappointed you are, please please do not wish danger on us or assume that we didn't try."
Ariana added that with travel arrangements "booked for months", she couldn't have left at any other time.
She explained: "I wrapped another film on the 31st and I worked all day the 1st and the 2nd as well, just the same as Jonny, Cyn and JOn have been working.
"We all were scheduled to leave the same day. It just so happened that this place had a safety problem and I have explained why finding another option was impossible.
"I have been looking forward to this moment for a year... so please know how disappointed I am...
"Sending lots of love to you all. I hope it's a beautiful and safe night."
In a previous post, Ariana admitted she was "beyond devastated" to have to miss the event, with her flight cancelled due to a safety issue.
The actress and pop star insisted her own team and Universal "have tried every single thing possible to fix this", to no avail.
She wrote: "We've searched every other flight, overnight, early morning, connecting flights, commercial and also private options and absolutely nothing was available or possible that would get us there in time."
