Travis Kelce had a special garden built in the backyard of his home for his proposal to Taylor Swift.
The 35-year-old singer has opened up about the magical moment the NFL played dropped to one knee to ask for her hand in marriage and revealed the sportsman timed the construction work to take place while the pop star was appearing on his New Heights podcast in August so she would be "surprised".
During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. Taylor explained: "He really crushed it in surprising me. While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in. He went all out - 10 out of 10."
Taylor went on to reveal she hasn't started planning the wedding yet because she wants to finish work promoting her new album The Life of a Showgirl first - but she think it's going to be "fun" putting together her big day.
She said: "I want to do the album stuff first, and the wedding is what happens after in terms of planning. I think it will be fun to plan."
During the interview, Taylor also talked about her latest record and revealed her songwriting is actually less personal than it was before.
She said: "Last year on the tour I was physically exhausted – sick and worn down – so to spark me up I had the album as a secret passion project behind the scenes. It stopped me hitting a wall ...
"I am open about things [in the songs] but in recent years I have a different perspective and like storytelling at a little bit of a distance, so it isn’t like doing a complete autopsy of myself."
The singer also reflected on finally being able to buy back her master recordings after spending years feeling angry about not having control of her own songs.
She said: "A lifelong dream came true. I was able to buy my entire back catalogue. I don’t respond to stuff generally, but not owning it really p***** me off.
"I didn’t think I should be given it – I was happy to pay and at a premium. I am glad I spoke publicly about it and my fans got behind it and championed it.
"I couldn’t believe it happened. Travis and I were in tears when it did. Every time it is mentioned, I get a wave of euphoria still."
The Graham Norton Show airs on Friday at 10.40pm on BBC One.
