Leigh-Anne Pinnock felt 'pressure' to announce her pregnancy
Leigh-Anne Pinnock has revealed that she considers pregnancy to be a "personal" thing.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock felt "a bit of pressure" to announce her pregnancy publicly.
The 35-year-old pop star revealed in July that she's expecting her third child - but Leigh-Anne initially kept the news to herself because it's such a "personal" thing.
The singer - who already has two-year-old twin girls with soccer star Andre Gray - told Glamour magazine: "It's something that's so personal. It's your thing, and I didn’t want other people to speculate on that. I wanted that moment to come from me.
"I did feel a bit of pressure, which is annoying because you shouldn't feel like that."
Leigh-Anne also revealed that she sees her family as her "safe space" - but the pop star isn't sure how the family dynamics will change when she welcomes her third child.
The singer - who married Andre in 2023, after getting engaged in 2020 - said: "I have an amazing, gorgeous family. That's like my safe space.
"Obviously, now expecting another baby it’s like, what's that dynamic going to be like with three?"
Leigh-Anne also revealed that she's open-minded about the next phase of her career.
Leigh-Anne - who released her debut solo album, My Ego Told Me To, earlier this year - shared: "I am writing again, and yeah, I'm excited to see where this next year is going to go … I'm so open to going into different places with my career. Like I'll always do music. It’s my number one love, but there'll always be other things."
Asked what she's excited for next year, Leigh-Anne replied: "My growing gorgeous family. I'm really excited to bring this baby into the world."
Meanwhile, Leigh-Anne previously revealed that she wants her children to witness her success as a solo artist.
The singer - who joined Little Mix, the chart-topping girl group, after auditioning on the UK version of The X Factor - hopes to inspire people with her solo music.
She told British Vogue magazine: "I don’t care if it’s two people in the audience – knowing that they are there because they love and value me and love what I do, I will be happy with that."
