Singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock has urged people to “free the bump”, after being criticized for flaunting her pregnant body so freely.

The former Little Mix star is already mother to five-year-old twin daughters with husband Andre Gray, and the pair are now expecting again.

Leigh-Anne has been showing off her changing figure in a variety of barely there outfits over the past few months, but has attracted backlash for doing so.

The 35-year-old singer teased her new song as she shared a video of herself singing along to it on her Instagram page, wearing a striped bralette and matching shorts.

Leigh-Anne was seen singing: “Throw your dumb opinions, at the window, I don't want to know.”

She wrote over the top of the video: “When embracing your baby bump makes people feel uncomfortable.”

Before adding in the video caption: “Throw your dumb opinions out the window... free the bump.”

People were quick to comment on the clip, with one writing: “How could a bump make someone uncomfortable? THERE’S A BABY IN THERE. WHAT THE F*** IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?”

Another added: “I loved showing off my bump, I don’t know why it bothers people. You look absolutely stunning, wishing you the best pregnancy and delivery experience possible.”

As a third commented: “You're beautiful. Perfect bump!”

Leigh-Anne announced her pregnancy in July, in an emotional video on her social media page. In the clip, she was seen singing into a microphone at the recording studio - with the camera shooting her from different angles as her song Heaven played in the background.

She captioned the post by writing: “As one chapter ends, another begins,” before adding a heart and a pregnant woman emoji. Leigh-Anne and footballer Andre tied the knot in Jamaica in 2023, after welcoming their daughters into the world in 2021.

She and her husband have made the decision not to share their daughters’ names and faces publicly, with Leigh-Anne previously explaining to People: “I remember when they were born, I was going through this online hate thing and really seeing the toxicity of social media.

“I mean, I probably would've still decided to not show their faces anyway, but that just kind of confirmed it for me. I want them to be able to make that decision.”
