Sharon Osbourne visits Ozzy Osbourne's grave every day
Sharon Osbourne has revealed she visits the grave of her late husband Ozzy Osbourne every day since his death in July 2025 as she learns to "live with" her grief.
Sharon Osbourne visits Ozzy Osbourne's grave every day.
The TV star was plunged into mourning when her rocker husband died in July 2025 at the age of 76 just weeks after he returned to the stage for a reunion gig with his Black Sabbath bandmates and Sharon has now admitted she spends a lot of time at his final resting place in the grounds of the couple's house in the UK.
Sharon told the BBC: "You've lost the love of your life, so you don't just wake up and go, 'I'm fine now. I'm cured'. You never get over it.
"But you learn to live with it, and that's what I'm trying to do. So you either sit in a room and don't come out, or you accept it, befriend it, and that's it."
Sharon went on to admit she didn't consider burying her husband anywhere else but in the privacy of their garden.
She explained: "There was no way I could put Ozzy in a public graveyard.
"I've seen what happens to other people in the public eye. There's no peace because people want to come and they want to pay their respects. That's an ongoing thing, and I wanted Ozzy to rest and just be."
When asked if she visits the grave often, Sharon said: "Of course, every day. I can see him from my window."
In the interview, Sharon also revealed her final conversation with Ozzy in the house before his death and admitted she was asleep when he suffered the heart attack that killed him.
She said: "I was asleep [when it happened]. We'd spoken in the night. Ozzy had woken in the night and he asked me to kiss him twice, and I did.
"And then he said: 'Hold me, hold me tight,' and I did. And then the next thing I know, it's early in the morning, and someone comes rushing into the room saying: 'Come down now'. I ran down, and that was it."
It comes after Sharon confessed Ozzy knew he was "dying" before his farewell concert.
The Paranoid hitmaker passed away just 17 days after his star-studded Back to the Beginning show in his native Birmingham, England, in July 2025, and Sharon told how he shrugged off warnings from his doctors that the performance would "kill" him because he knew he didn't have long left anyway.
Sharon told Rolling Stone magazine: "He was in hospital in America before he left. We moved back to England, and we had a whole new team of doctors. His new doctors didn’t want to take doctor’s notes from America. They wanted to make their own assessment on him. He was in hospital for a week in England.
"After he came out of hospital, they asked for a meeting, and they came to our house. We had six different doctors and, like, a quarterback, because there were all of these specialists for the heart, for Parkinson’s, for his lungs, because of all the different things that were wrong with him.
"They advised us not to do the show. They said it would kill him.
"We were all together and Ozzy said: 'It’s not an option. It’s what I want.' He said, 'I know I’m dying. If I miss a few months of my life, I want to go this way. This is what I want.'
"It was his wishes and we went through it. He said to me: 'Another six months, what’s it going to do for me?' "
Although Ozzy was feeling "very, very emotional", Sharon admitted the concert was a "beautiful" and fitting farewell for her husband.
She said: "He was very, very emotional. But you know what? It was beautiful too. It was amazing. How lucky was he to go out that way? I say he went out like a Viking. It was the way he wanted.
"Ozzy always used to say, 'I’m one lucky motherf*****. Who else has had my life? I got everything I dreamed about.'
"He had no regrets about anything. He knew what his destiny was. He chose it."
