Emma Roberts didn't want to get "too excited" about her wedding because people had warned her of the potential for "drama".

The 35-year-old actress married partner Cody John last month and though she insisted she didn't have "low expectations" for the big day, she had tried not to get too excited in case there was any "drama", but she ultimately had "one of the best nights" of her life.
Speaking to Kate and Oliver Hudson on their Sibling Revelry podcast, she said: "We got married in Sun Valley, Idaho. It was so amazing, it was at his family's house in the backyard. We put up a tent and had the time of our lives.
"And I mean, I had had, not low expectations, but I didn't want to get too excited about it.
"Everyone tries to tell you like, you know, there can be drama and this and that. So I was just going into it like, 'It is what it is.'
"And it really was one of the best nights of my whole life."
Despite being in her 30s, Emma felt like a "teenager" when she tied the knot.
She said: "What's so funny is I'm like thinking I'm this like, young bride, I'm like, 'Oh my god I'm a teenager getting married' and everyone's like, 'You're 35'."
Emma - who has five-year-old son Rhodes with former partner Garrett Hedlund - and Cody exchanged vows in front of 200 guests because she didn't want to be "too rigid" when it came to the list of invitees.
She explained: "We wanted a bunch of people there to celebrate and our parents wanted to invite people. We wanted to invite people.
"I didn't want to be that bride that was like rigid with the guest list.
"I mean, granted we didn't give guests to everyone, but I didn't want to be like too rigid.
"So couple of people last minute were like, can I bring so-and-so? I was like, sure."
Rhodes had a special role to play in the big day.
Emma said: "It was so magical and my son walked me down the aisle and that was so cute and so sweet."
The American Horror Story actress recently revealed she and Cody only bought their wedding rings a few days before they got married.
She told Vogue magazine: "We kept putting it off and putting it off until finally it was the week before the wedding. It happened to be my only day off and the hottest day in New York.
"We literally walked to Tiffany, and I was like: 'We’re in shorts. We don’t have an appointment. We’re getting married in a week. What are we thinking just showing up here?' We were definitely the least chic people getting a wedding band at Tiffany that day."
They both chose gold bands and Emma added of the designs: "I was secretly excited that we both had gold. I think it feels so vintage and classic and timeless."
