Billie Eilish officiated her brother's wedding because both he and his bride-to-be wanted her in their wedding party.

Finneas O'Connell and Claudia Sulewski tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony in California on 29 August and not only was the bad guy hitmaker the first person they got in touch with after they started planning their big day, they were very keen to have her play a key role in the ceremony so decided to compromise and ask her to precide over their

exchange of vows.

Speaking in a video shared to YouTube, Claudia said: “When we first started to officially plan our wedding, the first person that we called was Finneas’ sister, Billie.

“He wanted her to be his best man, and I wanted her to be my maid of honor. So we thought, ‘Okay, sounds like she needs to marry us.’ "

Claudia grew tearful as she added: “And truly, officiating our wedding was, like, the greatest gift she could ever give us.”

Billie also performed Birds of a Feather at the couple's reception.

Claudia, 30, is “still on cloud nine” and “still crying” after the wedding and hearing any of the music played on the big day hits her with a wave of emotion.

She admitted: “Any time I hear any music that played on that day, full tears.

“It was the most beautiful, special, intimate, overwhelming, euphoric, but also calm, every single emotion, all the good ones. And something else we can’t describe. We kept saying, ‘New feeling unlocked.’ I have never felt that way in my life.”

Claudia - who met the 29-year-old musician on dating app Raya in 2018 - would love to relive the wedding and "can't wait" to spend the rest of her life with her new husband.

She gushed: “I would do it all again. I’d relive all of it again. It was, like, the best day of our life, no doubt. I don’t know what will top that. Maybe giving birth, although that sounds way more stressful, a little bit painful. Shout out to my husband. Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”

In June, Finneas shared he used his seventh anniversary as a "Trojan horse" to propose to Claudia Sulewski.

Speaking on NBC's Today with Jena and Sheinelle, the star - who popped the question with a cushion-cut diamond ring last September after seven years of dating - said: "I think she thought we were going to go do a little staycation at a beach.

"I was relying on her to be distracted by getting ready in the morning, and maybe sending a work email or something.

"And I drove her to the airport. She was like, 'Why are we at the airport?' We got on a helicopter, and I was like, 'We're taking a helicopter to a private campsite in the mountains,' and I brought a private chef with us. And so he cooked food for us, and then he got back on the helicopter and left.

"We were marooned on the mountainside, and then we just had this really beautiful day out in nature. And then, I did ask [her to marry me]."

Finneas was very nervous ahead of proposing, particularly when it came to hiding the ring so Claudia could not find it until the right moment.

He recalled: "The ring was in a sock wrapped around another sock in my suitcase. And then there was one point where it was about to happen, and I was, like, 'Hang on. One second.' It was just lies all day.

"And I ran around, and I heard the ring, like, rattling in the box in my pocket. And so I went and hid behind a bush and untied the thing and opened it and tucked it back in its little slot, and then was, like, walking in a sort of ballet pose."
