Jennie Garth is "sad" that Tori Spelling has quit their Beverly Hills 90210 rewatch podcast, 9021OMG, with just two seasons to go.
Jennie Garth is "sad" that Tori Spelling has quit their Beverly Hills 90210 rewatch podcast.
The two actresses - who starred on all 10 seasons of the show from 1990 to 2000 as Kelly Taylor and Donna Martin respectively - launched 9021OMG back in 2020 but on the latest episode, co-host Amy Sugarman confirmed Tori will no longer be part of the podcast, leaving Jennie disappointed she isn't going to "finish this out with us".
Noting it had been "100 percent" Tori's decision to leave, Amy said: “As everyone knows, Tori has not been here for a bit, right? She’s not been doing the show for a bit for many reasons.
“About two weeks ago, she made the decision — which I’m sure was a really, very tough decision for her — but she let us know about two weeks ago that she had decided she wasn’t going to continue with the podcast.
“Two things can be true: We can be really bummed, disappointed that she’s not going to do seasons 9 and 10 with us, with you, while still wanting her to be happy and to be excited for her about the things she is working on and does want to do.”
Jennie wishes Tori had decided to stay for their recap of the final two seasons of 90210.
She said: “We started it together, and I’m sad about that, if I’m being honest, which I always am.
“But I’m also really excited for the podcast to come into [seasons] nine and 10 because I know we have a lot of great stuff in store.
"Also, I’m really happy for her. I’m excited for her to choose herself,” she added, alluding to an iconic quote and moment for Garth’s 90210 character that she has since embraced in her own life."
Jennie reassured listeners she would be there until the very end and "can't stop" now because it has been such a meaningful experience for her.
She said: “This has been the craziest awakening of remembering so many things in my life by watching the show back and getting back in touch with me — the person playing Kelly Taylor.
"It’s been this really great experience for me.”
Jennie and Amy teased there will be "special guests", including "guest co-hosts", coming up on 9021OMG.
