Kristin Cavallari makes her children fly in economy when she is in first class.

The 39-year-old businesswoman and fashion designer has three kids, Camden Jack, 13, Jaxon, 12, and Saylor, 10 - with her ex Jay Cutler - and she believes it is "good for them" to know they need to work hard for life's luxuries.

Speaking on the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast, she said: "My kids don’t just get whatever they want. And if they want something, they have to work for it.

"Something as small as they fly coach, I’m flying first class.

"That was important to me when they became old enough that they could. It’s not [difficult to do] when they’re older. I’m like, 'Bye guys, have fun back there.'

"It’s good for them. And I think it’s the little things like that as a parent that make, ultimately, I think, a big difference in the long run."

Kristin has also tried to teach her children about business to give them a solid start in life, particularly because she is aware they are "growing up in a very fortunate situation".

She said: "A good example is last summer, both of my boys created their own little businesses.

"One of my boys was washing people’s windows, and the other one was washing people’s garbage cans.

"Because if they want something, they got to go work for it. And they got to make it happen."

In January, Kristin told how her children inspired her to "pull back" about taking about her sex life.

Speaking to guest Rachel Bilson on her own Let's Be Honest podcast, Kristin said: "I’ll definitely pull back, and I feel like I’ve found this way to kind of say stuff without just saying it.

"So this is actually the one thing that made me be like, ‘Whoa, I need to watch what I’m saying.'

"[My sons] told me recently that, like, a year ago or something when I was dating that younger guy, that their friends said they saw [him] and I played a drinking game or something on the podcast, and they saw some of the sexual stuff that we were talking about."
