A$AP Rocky’s lewd concert remark sparks fan fury as Rihanna is urged to dump the rapper
Social media users criticised A$AP Rocky after comments he made to female fans during a concert went viral, while others defended the rapper as Rihanna continued to accompany him on tour.
A$AP Rocky has sparked a backlash online after making a lewd remark to female fans at one of his concerts.
The 37-year-old rapper made the comment during a recent stop on his Don’t Be Dumb World Tour in Phoenix, Arizona, where he paused his performance to address women in the audience and tell them he would have “f***** the s*** out of” them had they met him before his relationship with his partner Rihanna.
The moment quickly spread across social media, prompting criticism from some fans because of his long-term relationship with Rihanna, 38, with whom he shares three children – RZA, four, Riot, two, and daughter Rocki, who is eight months old.
Some social media users called the remark disrespectful and urged Rihanna singer to leave the rapper.
The controversy comes as A$AP continues his world tour and as Rihanna remains in the spotlight following a string of high-profile public appearances.
The singer, who built a global empire through Fenty alongside her chart-topping music career, has accompanied A$AP at several dates on the tour.
A$AP told the crowd: “Thank God y’all didn’t know me when I was single, ’cause I would’ve f***** the s*** out of you.”
Videos of the exchange were widely shared online, where some users accused A$AP of being disrespectful towards both the audience and Rihanna.
One social media user wrote: “So many things could’ve been said instead, but he chooses the most stupid disrespectful thing to his audience and his partner,” while another added: “Rihanna if you don’t leave this man lol, he’s constantly disrespecting her.”
Further criticism followed beneath the circulating videos of the moment, with another user writing: “For a person with three children and supposedly in a serious relationship, this is not cool to say. Its almost cringe.”
Another commented: “Rihanna this your baby daddy? He is so weird for this objectification ew.”
A further post read: “Disrespectful to Rihanna, disrespectful to women, someone remind me why this guy is still relevant.”
Another fan questioned the remark, writing: “He could’ve just said they’re beautiful and kept it moving though, wtf was that for?”
Not all reactions were negative, however.
Some supporters defended A$AP, arguing the comment had been made in jest and criticism of the rapper had been exaggerated.
As debate continued across social media, Rihanna appeared unaffected by the online reaction.
The singer was photographed shopping in Beverly Hills on Wednesday (24.06.26), accompanied by an aide carrying several shopping bags as she visited luxury stores.
A$AP’s tour is scheduled to continue in San Francisco, with the performances continuing to attract large crowds despite the controversy.
The reaction also comes days after Rocky gave a rare insight into family life with Rihanna during an interview with Vibe, in which he reflected on the shooting incident at the family’s Beverly Hills home earlier this year.
Speaking about the incident on 8 March, Rocky said: “It was f***** up... somebody attempted (harming) me and my family.”
He added: “It took away a lot of peace and happiness of being able to just be free. I don’t want to be robbed of my peace and joy.”
Elsewhere in the interview, A$AP spoke about raising his children with Rihanna and said the couple were determined to ensure they remained grounded despite their fame.
He said: “I want to make sure that I teach my boys discipline and keep them grounded, keep them humble as much as possible.”
A$AP also said he aims to be “emotionally present” and “emotionally available” as a father, adding that he wants his children to maintain close relationships with family beyond the celebrity world.
