After flaunting her baby bump at the Cannes Film Festival, it’s emerged Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse are expecting their first child together.
Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse are expecting their first child together.
The model, 32, and her actor partner, 33, revealed their pregnancy news while appearing on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
The announcement marks a new chapter for the couple, who have become one of fashion and Hollywood’s most closely followed pairings since marrying in Hungary in 2023, while Dylan continues to attract nostalgia from fans of Disney Channel hit The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
Confirming the news during an appearance at the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival on Thursday (14.05.26), Barbara debuted her baby bump while posing alongside Dylan in a flowing pale blue gown with feather detailing.
Photographs from the event showed Dylan standing beside his wife in a tuxedo with one arm around her waist as the pair smiled for cameras on the red carpet.
Barbara and Dylan first met at a party in 2017 before beginning their relationship the following year.
Speaking to Vogue Australia in 2018, Barbara said of Dylan: “I feel like I found the perfect guy.”
She added: “He’s very kind and gentle.”
The couple announced their engagement in June 2023 before marrying a month later in Hungary in a ceremony attended by friends and family.
Since then, the couple have regularly spoken publicly about the importance of supporting each other’s careers while balancing life between Hollywood and the fashion industry.
Earlier this year, Barbara and Dylan discussed the rules they follow to maintain their relationship while travelling for work. Speaking to People magazine following the launch of their Spring 2025 campaign Dress to Express, Barbara explained: “When I travel, he’s there with me and we’re not away from each other.”
Barbara added: “When he’s on set, I try to visit him.”
She continued: “We have this rule that we’re not supposed to be away from each other longer than two, three weeks.”
Barbara has also been widely praised in recent months for speaking openly about her experience with endometriosis. Last August, the model revealed on Instagram she had undergone surgery after years of experiencing severe symptoms including chronic pain, fatigue and irregular periods.
Barbara wrote: “For some years now I’ve been dealing with the difficulties that can come with my periods. Fatigue, severe pain, heavy and irregular flow, sleepless nights on the bathroom floor. I thought this was just how it works for me.”
She added: “I’ve been going to checkups (with) my gynaecologist every year. I thought if I had endometriosis I would have known about it by now, but as it turns out, endometriosis can’t be diagnosed with general examinations.”
Barbara later said the surgery “helped me a lot”, adding: “Early diagnosis and treatment are very important to prevent long-term complications.”
Dylan, who starred alongside twin brother Cole Sprouse in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and The Suite Life on Deck, has continued acting and producing projects in recent years while maintaining a lower public profile than his brother, whose work on Riverdale kept him regularly in the spotlight.
Barbara meanwhile remains one of the most recognisable Victoria’s Secret models of her generation and has continued fronting major fashion campaigns internationally.
