Halle Bailey has always found Beyonce to be a "very genuine human being".

The 44-year-old singer kickstarted Halle and Chloe Bailey's music careers almost 15 years ago, when she heard their cover of Pretty Hurts, Beyonce's 2014 single, and Halle feels she's benefited enormously from her support.

Speaking to The Independent, Halle explained: "It makes you feel confident in your ideas because she’s acknowledging you.

"She just let us be. She’s a very genuine human being – a nice, soft voice who will give us advice when we need it."

Halle, 26, first enjoyed success when she appeared alongside her sister in Chloe x Halle. However, the duo have gone their separate ways in recent years, and Halle thinks it's been a positive for them both, even though they remain close.

She said: "It’s actually been really good for us.

"I do miss living together, being back in our home studio making stuff, but it’s also cool when you grow up and live your own lives. I love my sister and I’ll make music with her until the end of time. That’s my home and where I feel my safest."

Meanwhile, Halle recently admitted to feeling things "even deeper" since becoming a mother.

The actress confessed that welcoming her child has changed her outlook on life entirely.

Speaking to the Guardian, Halle explained: "When you have a child, you feel things even deeper. A whole new portal of universal love opens up — a love that I never expected. My love for my child is so big, it feels like the moon.

"I love that I feel like a different person. I would definitely say it's made everything better for me — creatively, as a writer, as an artist and as a mom."

Halle - who previously starred as Ariel in Disney's live-action The Little Mermaid - believes that her emotional depth as a musician has grown significantly since becoming a parent.

The singer - who has Halo, two, with her ex-partner DDG - said: "In music especially, I feel things very deeply. I think that's when you're at your best, when you can write clearly about the things you feel so deeply."
