Catherine, Princess of Wales celebrated the "kindness, resilience and quiet strength" of women to mark International Women's Day (08.03.26).

Alongside a picture of a mother holding her small child, she penned on The Prince and Princess of Wales' Instagram Story: “Today we celebrate the kindness, resilience and quiet strength of women in our families and communities.

“This day is about standing up alongside one another — recognising the loving influence of women, who nurture and hope, encourage others and help make the world kinder and more compassionate.”

The British royal - who has Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and seven-year-old Prince Louis with husband William, Prince of Wales - also paid homage to a handful of inspiring women.

She linked to posts about Iram Siraj, professor of child development and education at the University of Oxford, Hope Ngulube, who used to be a Ranger for the Conservation Lower Zambezi, and author Tracey Ford, who journals with women who have experienced homelessness.

On International Women's Day last year, Catherine paid a special tribute to photographer Liz Hatton, who tragically died at the age 18 from cancer in November 2024.

Catherine - who endured her own cancer battle - made the teen's dream come true meeting the princess, who also has a keen eye for photography.

Catherine's X post read: “Celebrating the strength and creativity of Liz and [her mother] Vicky Hatton.

“It was an honor meeting them both in Windsor in October. Liz's memory live[s] on in Vicky's unwavering resilience. Thank you for such a moving moment #IWD2025.”

And, in 2024, Catherine, 44, and William, 43, posted: “Happy International Women’s Day! Celebrating the impact of amazing women today and every day. Here are just a few of the brilliant women we’ve been inspired by over the past 12 months.”
