Noel Gallagher 'splits from girlfriend'
Noel Gallagher is reportedly single again after splitting from his girlfriend of two years.
Noel Gallagher has reportedly split from his girlfriend of two years.
The 58-year-old Oasis star and events manager Sally Mash are said to have ended their two-year romance after deciding they “are not right for each other”.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Noel and Sally split earlier this year. There was nothing dramatic, it was amicable, they just weren't right for each other.
“Noel and Sally have stayed the best of friends; there's no bad blood there.
Noel and Sally started dating in 2023, two years after his divorce from second wife Sara MacDonald and he previously joked he was “punching” above his weight with her.
Speaking on his friend Matt Morgan’s Patreon podcast, he said: “I’ve punched above my weight several times in my life. I think if you can make a girl laugh the battle is more than won.
“I think if you have to act a certain way [to get a woman] then you’ve to act like that for the rest of your life. She’s either into you for what you are, or the quest continues.”
Noel also admitted that divorce from his second wife Sara – with whom he shares two sons – had been rough, both mentally and physically.
He said: “I looked f****** rough towards the end of last year. Divorce is a weird thing. You’re in a weird space. You’re drinking and the diet was s*** and then being on the road and smoking and all that - it was great.
“I’ve got a gym in my flat and I’m cooking and I stopped drinking for three months and stopped doing all that goes with it. It was OK.”
He also spoke about ditching a divorce album because it was too depressing.
He said: “I was about six tunes in and got so bored about the pace of it.
“And the thing that did it for me was that they were all songs about having a bit of a broken heart. It was becoming like Council Skies.
“It’s time to make a defiant rock album, which is what I’m going to start doing. I’ve got a lot of songs.”
“Council Skies had three different things to it — there was kind of uplifting acoustic things, there was a bit of melancholy and there was a bit of rock ’n’ roll pop music. It’s the best High Flying Birds album and the first album I’ve made, bar [Oasis’s] Definitely Maybe, that is actually perfect.
“I’m still listening to Council Skies and going, ‘It’s f****** perfect’. There’s nothing I could give to or take away from that to make it better.”
