Jason Kelce: It's weird not having Travis Kelce in the Super Bowl
Jason Kelce is looking forward to the Super Bowl - even though his brother won't be involved.
Jason Kelce finds it "weird" that Travis Kelce isn't in this year's Super Bowl.
The 36-year-old sports star - who is engaged to musician Taylor Swift - has enjoyed significant success in recent years, winning the Super Bowl in 2019, 2022 and 2023, and Jason finds it odd that Travis' Kansas City Chiefs won't be competing for the crown this year.
Speaking to People, Jason said: "It is weird not having Trav in the Super Bowl or playing in it myself. It hasn't happened in a while."
Despite this, Jason is still looking forward to watching the Super Bowl.
The former sports star - who played for the Philadelphia Eagles for 13 seasons - explained: "It'll be fun to really just enjoy the Super Bowl for what it is, not be as personally attached to it.
"Don't get me wrong, I would love to watch the Eagles or Chiefs in the Super Bowl, for sure — but that is not the case."
Meanwhile, Jason recently urged Travis to "step away from the game for a little bit" before making a decision about his future.
The sports star is rumoured to be contemplating retirement from the NFL, but Jason encouraged his sibling to take his time before making a firm decision.
Jason - who also enjoyed a hugely successful career in the NFL, before announcing his retirement in 2024 - said on Monday Night Football: "I'm curious too.
"In my opinion, to nail that decision, you've got to step away from the game for a little bit."
Jason also encouraged his sibling to enjoy his last games of the season.
He said: "Play these last three games, enjoy them with your teammates, enjoy that with your coaches. The team's going to be different whether you come back or not next year. So, enjoy these last three games and then let it sink in. It'll come to you with time."
