I love getting off my phone, says Leighton Meester
Leighton Meester has revealed how she enjoys spending her time off.
Leighton Meester loves "getting off [her] phone".
The 39-year-old actress has enjoyed huge success in her career - but she still enjoys some simple pleasures in life with her free time.
The movie star - who has been married to actor Adam Brody since 2014 - told People: "I do love to go to a spa and have a spa day. And I do love getting off my phone.
"I love sitting and reading, and I love doing puzzles.
"But, more than anything, I think self-care for me does look like just speaking positively to myself."
Leighton has recently starred in The Buccaneers and I Love LA, but she's determined to remain tight-lipped about her next project.
The actress - who is, perhaps, best known for playing Blair Waldorf in the hit TV series Gossip Girl between 2007 and 2012 - explained: "I wish I did have something that I could tell you about, but it's all secret."
Meanwhile, Leighton recently opened up about her "journey of self-love".
The actress explained how she's learned to cope with her critics over the years.
Leighton told People: "Certainly speaking positively of others too, but [it's important] that I really include myself in that, because there are plenty of not-so-nice feelings that you can absorb out from the world. But I really do have to enjoy continuing the journey of self-love and telling myself and believing that I'm worthy of it, just because I exist."
Despite this, Leighton acknowledged that her journey of self-love hasn't always been easy.
The actress admitted that she used to feel embarrassed by her approach, because she thought some people might even mock her.
Leighton - who got engaged to Adam back in November 2013 - shared: "There was a long time where I was like, this is kind of embarrassing to say and feel, and really put weight onto."
