Taylor Swift teased Selena Gomez's old fashion choices in her wedding speech.

The 33-year-old former Disney star married producer Benny Blanco last month, and the Life of a Showgirl hitmaker stepped up at the reception to deliver a light hearted speech for her longtime friend.

Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Taylor revealed: "I did do some light teasing about the way that we used to dress in 2008, the year that we met.

"'Cause we met when we were teenagers in 2008, it was quite a year. Let me tell you. And so I talked a little bit about 2008.

"I talked about how happy I am for her and how beautiful it's been to get to be part of her life."

Taylor explained that rather than referencing her own engagement to Travis Kelce, she kept the focus on her friend.

She added: "I did not make it about me.

"I got to see her be the most elegant, gorgeous, not only bride, but just vision that I've ever seen in my life.

"I've never seen anything so beautiful as her on her wedding day."

The 35-year-old pop star first met the Only Murders In The Building actress through Joe and Nick Jonas, who they were dating respectively at the time.

Appearing on KISS FM UK in 2017, Selena previously revealed: "We actually dated the Jonas Brothers together! It was hysterical.

"It was amazing, because [Taylor] was the girl with the big curly hair and all the bracelets and the cowboy boots.

"And I was definitely up-and-coming, and we just clicked. It was the best thing we got out of those relationships.'

Selena's wedding was a star studded affair, and Taylor has admitted it "will be hard to keep" her famous friend Ed Sheeran from performing at her own nuptials.

She told the UK's Hits Radio Breakfast Show: "Oh, it would be hard to keep him from it, I think.

"That’s the thing, he’s like, ‘I’m always being asked to sing at weddings.’ It’s like: 'Ed, if there is a stage, you know you’ll be on it.'

"He knows what people want, and he wants to give people what they want.

"That’s the fun thing about our friendship - we both love performing, and we love writing and singing. We’re like: 'Oh, don’t make me sing … alright!' "
