Spice Girls have paid tribute to their late choreographer Paul Roberts, following his death aged 52.

The Wannabe hitmakers - Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Victoria Beckham, Mel B and Mel C - took to social media to praise "incredibly talented" Paul, who worked with the girl group on their 2019 Spice World Tour, which didn’t feature Victoria.

Spice Girls posted: "@_paul_roberts was an integral part of our 2019 tour. His creativity, passion and joy for life was evident throughout our shows. As well as being incredibly talented, Paul was simply a wonderful person. He radiated happiness and positivity. We were all lucky to know him and share friendships beyond the tour. We are deeply saddened by his passing and are sending love to his husband @thephilgriffin and all of Paul’s family and friends at this very difficult time. We will miss you Paul [heart emoji]"

Paul's husband Phil replied to the post: "Paul loved every moment with each of you and Loves you all from that other place still x thank you for always keeping him close

This speaks from his heart, but in your words:

“Viva forever, I'll be waiting

Everlasting, like the sun

Live forever, for the moment

Ever searching for the one” (sic)"

Phil had previously announced Paul's death from cancer, writing on his Instagram page: "On the evening of 26th September 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer, Paul passed away gently at home, surrounded by his family. His departure, much like his life, was filled with grace” RIP"

Emma - who is known as Baby Spice - was left "heart-broken" by the tragic news.

She commented: "My heart is broken [broken heart emoji] being in his company was my happy place. Thinking of you @thephilgriffin sending love to you and all his family."

Phil replied: "we love you my darling you have him so much of your heart (sic)"

Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh commented: "This is the saddest news I’m so so sorry @thephilgriffin. Paul was very special indeed. Sending you all my love (sic)"

Actor and singer Adam Rickitt wrote: "The gentlest of us, but with the biggest heart. Thank you for being you and helping when yiu saw it needed. I will always be grateful and the light has dimmed too much. All my love @thephilgriffin ...so sorry x (sic)"
