Rob Delaney thinks racy scenes without intimacy coordinators 'usually stink'
'Dying For Sex' actor Rob Delaney has opened up about the importance of intimacy coordinators for quality as well as comfort.

Rob Delaney insists sex scenes "usually stink" without an intimacy coordinator.
The 48-year-old actor has opened up on the way racy scenes are filmed in Hollywood, and pointed out that there's a "technical" benefit to getting someone on set to advise the director and actors.
He told the Radio Times magazine: "It's getting better and easier every time, because just from a technical standpoint, why not choreograph that stuff?
"It makes everybody more comfortable. When people resist it and do whatever in the scenes, it usually stinks."
"I say that as somebody who created a show ['Catastrophe'] that had a lot of intimacy, and that was before intimacy coordinators.
"We would be like, 'Is it OK if I do this?' 'Can I caress this?' Now somebody else does it for me."
The 'Deadpool and Wolverine' star also reflected on the pressures put on actors when it comes to baring their bodies on screen.
He explained: "We scrutinize our bodies, particularly in this business. Sometimes I've been like, 'Am I too hairy?'
"I tried to trim my chest hair once, but that looked weird, so now I just let it happen."
Rob joked that his grooming habits were a "focused political decision" to make other men more comfortable with their bodies.
He said: "With everybody trying to be perfect, people start looking the same, and that's boring.
"It's actually a very concious and focused political decision to be as hairy as I am, to help others appreciate themselves."
The 'Dying For Sex' star admitted after shooting so many racy scenes over the years, he's worried about his sons seeing them one day.
He added: "Some of it would horrify them big time.
"I try to pad my career with other things, like an animated film, or a cartoon - things where I'm not being repeatedly kicked erotically in the nuds by a woman with a riding crop."
