Opening up about her family life, Amy Schumer has said her five-year-old son Gene, has developed a love for classic comedy.

The actress, 43, made her name with her comedy sketches and has now said her boy is following in her footsteps.
She said on the red carpet at the ‘SNL 50 Anniversary Special’ in New York on Sunday (16.02.25): “He's really into ‘SNL’ sketches.
“He loves Chris Farley sketches and old Adam Sandler ones and stuff.”
‘Kinda Pregnant’ star Amy, who has hosted ‘SNL’ three times, shares her boy Gene with her husband, Chris Fischer, 45, a professional chef.
During a January episode of Alex Cooper’s ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, Amy discussed how her family perceives her fame.
She said: “It’s like the same with my son or my husband.
“It’s like, ‘you’re mom.’”
Of all her films, Gene has seen only a few clips, including ‘Trolls 3’, a scene from ‘Trainwreck’ where she attempts to dunk, and parts of ‘Kinda Pregnant’ while she was editing.
She said: “He thinks that the stunts are funny.”
Amy added Chris does not pay much attention to her stardom, saying: “Sometimes Chris will try to empathise with it. “He doesn’t care.”
Amy gave birth to Gene in May 2019 and has spoken about her experience with a lengthy cesarean section due to endometriosis.
In 2021, she had her uterus and appendix removed.
The Emmy-winning comedian has been open about motherhood, and has previously shared a candid Instagram post alongside a photo of herself with Gene.
She captioned it: “Being his mom is heaven on earth and also means a constant feeling of guilt and vulnerability I will never get used to.
“Your heart feels like it's outside your body and you're too old to drink the feelings away like you used to. When you were in love and scared. Send help!!!”
