Anthony Mackie surprised by 'normal' Harrison Ford
Anthony Mackie has admitted to being surprised by Harrison Ford, his 'Captain America: Brave New World' co-star.
Anthony Mackie has been surprised that Harrison Ford is so "normal".
The 46-year-old actor stars alongside the Hollywood icon in 'Captain America: Brave New World', the upcoming Marvel movie, and Anthony has confessed to being surprised by the 82-year-old film star.
Asked what surprised him the most about working with Harrison, the actor told E! News: "I was surprised at how normal he was."
Anthony explained that he expected his co-star - who has appeared in some of the biggest film franchises of all time, including 'Star Wars' and 'Indiana Jones' - to be more aloof.
He said: "Usually you have a big star in a movie, they go sit off by themselves with their friends and won't talk to you.
"But whenever the cast and crew got together Harrison would come and just chill with us like a regular person and eat those awful peanut butter and jelly sandwiches."
As well as being a movie star, Harrison is a licensed pilot and he's still about passionate about flying planes.
The Hollywood actor previously admitted that it's actually become a massive part of his life.
He told Esquire magazine: "I will not be buried under a stone that says actor. For me, flying is as important a part of my life as my business. It’s not like playing golf."
Harrison supports an organisation called Young Eagles, which take kids for half-hour flights to pique their interest in planes, and he feels really passionate about the endeavour.
He said: "When we take a kid up, we’re actually investing his voting mother and father in general aviation, which is different from commercial aviation.
"People don’t understand both the value and the contribution to the economy, and the community, that general aviation provides. General aviation - that’s the farmer who’s flying his produce to a farmers market, that’s the mechanic with his tools who’s flying out to fix another airplane, that’s a doctor in Montana who’s flying himself from clinic to clinic."
