Torrey DeVitto welcomes first child with husband Jared LaPine
'Chicago Med' and 'Pretty Little Liars' star Torrey DeVitto and her director husband Jared LaPine have welcomed their first child together.
Torrey DeVitto has given birth.
The 40-year-old 'Chicago Med' and 'Pretty Little Liars' star revealed she and husband - director Jared LaPine - have welcomed a daughter together.
Posting a birthday tribute to her spouse on Instagram, Torrey wrote: "Happy birthday to my husband, the man who makes all my dreams come true daily. The greatest accomplishment I’ve ever achieved was giving our daughter an incredible dad like you. We love you so much."
Torrey shared a picture of Jared holding the baby.
According to LaPine’s Instagram, Torrey gave birth on November 21 to a daughter named Lyle-Josephine Alina.
Not long after the birth, he penned a sweet tribute to his wife and daughter.
He wrote: "Social media posting can be very silly but what the hell:
"As I sit on my hospital bed, watching my wife hold our gorgeous newborn baby girl, I would like to take a moment to praise this beautiful, strong, and amazing woman.
"The past 9 months of her pregnancy, I have watched my wife put our baby first in EVERYTHING she has done . I have watched countless nights of no sleep, excruciating acid-reflux, horrible aversions, and intense hormones.
"We were induced Monday morning at 7:30am and little Lyle-Josephine didn’t come until Thursday at 4:19pm. It was a struggle like nothing I have ever seen before and it completely terrified me. Torrey is the strongest person I have ever met. Period.
"She did all of this of this so that our little girl would be healthy as humanly possible. She succeeded tremendously. Today we get to take that beautiful girl to her new home. I am so lucky I get to watch and learn from the best mother in the world. What a special gift that is and thank you for making me a dad! I love BOTH of you girls with everything I have."
Last year, Torrey revealed Jared proposed when they were walking in woodland while she was wearing her pyjamas.
She posted: "Earlier this month at 5 pm on a weekday while walking the back trails at the farm, still in my PJs and goat boots, he got down on one knee, in what I hoped wasn’t poison ivy, and asked for forever. My answer was obvious. (sic)"
Jared said he felt like the "luckiest man in the world" after Torrey said yes.
He wrote on Instagram: "On September 1st, I got engaged to my best friend. Now I get to spend every single day as the luckiest man in the world. I love you more than anything and everything @torreydevitto (sic)"
Torrey was previously married to her 'The Vampire Diaries' co-star Paul Wesley from 2011 to 2013.
