Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is reportedly aiming to make cash selling dog treats and chicken feed.

The mum-of-two, 42, who has son Archie, four, and two-year-old daughter Lilibet with her husband Prince Harry, 39, has lodged papers to trademark the initials of her new American Riveria Orchard business.

According to The Sun, the documents show they have trademarked the firm for: “Pet food; Edible pet treats; Bird seed”.

The outlet said the application is being “pored over by attorneys at the US government department” to “make sure it does not clash with any trademarks which have already been granted”.

It added Meghan and Harry have also applied to trademark the name for pet feeding mats, plus food, clothes and cookbooks, along with gardening equipment.

Meghan unveiled the Instagram account and website for her new business earlier this month, with insiders saying it was a nod to her pre-royal roots, when she ran a Goop-style lifestyle blog called The Tig while she was also still an actress.

She shut down the site before marrying Harry in 2018.

An insider has told Page Six Meghan has been working “overtime” to bring her latest passion project to life, saying: “She’s been working on this for over a year and it’s all the things that are close to her heart – all the things she’s passionate about.”

Meghan has not yet publicly shared many details about her new business as the American Riviera Orchard website only features the brand’s logo and the ability to join a waitlist for more info.

A since-deleted video posted to its Instagram Story gave a hint of what’s to come as it showed her arranging flowers and cooking in the kitchen at what appeared to be her and Harry’s California mansion.

Page Six added it had been told she is aiming to become “the next Martha Stewart”, with a “possible cooking show for Netflix in the works”.

Parts of Meghan’s trademark application for her firm revealed on Monday (25.03.24) by the Daily Mail showed she has also used it to cover make-up, skincare, haircare and fragrance products.

She has also applied for trademarks for yoga mats and cushions according to the publication, along with a variety of stationery and American Riviera Orchard-branded jewellery.
