Beyoncé is launching a haircare range nearly a year after she teased fans it was on the way.
The ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)’ singer, 42, who has an estimated net worth of $800 million, is set to add to her fortune with her Cécred line, which is set to be released later this month.
She said alongside an Instagram video that showed her getting her locks washed: “Hair is sacred. The journey begins Feb 20. Visit CECRED.COM.”
Mum-of-three Beyoncé’s clip also showed an image of a white sheet draped over a television set showing images of a beauty salon and other women getting their hair done.
The business featured on the TV set was named Headliners Hair Salon – the name of the hair salon the singer’s mum, Tina Knowles, 70, once ran, and where Beyoncé’s old girl group Destiny’s Child used to sing for clients before they got their big break.
At the end of the video, a clip of Beyoncé as a youth and her mum in the 1980s is shown.
The Instagram account for Cécred showed another video of social media comments and videos from fans talking about the new haircare brand – as well as a voiceover of Beyoncé saying: “Obviously I grew up in my mother’s hair salon.”
As of Wednesday (07.02.24), the brand’s website has a box to sign up for email notifications and does not detail what the Cécred product line might include.
In May, Beyoncé referenced her mum’s salon in a post that said: “Having learned so much on my hair journey, I’ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy.”
Beyoncé has launched a series of perfumes over the years, including her recent fragrance Ce Noir, which sells for $160 a bottle.
