Cardi B rang in the New Year by having sex with her estranged husband Offset.

The 31-year-old rapper made the admission despite declaring in December she was planning to drop all the “dead weight” in her life, after fans last year noticed she unfollowed her former partner, 32, on Instagram.

Despite the pair’s recent estrangement, a video was shared on social media that showed the pair celebrating the new year at a strip club in Miami, with Cardi then explaining to fans online: “Was I clubbing with my baby daddy? Yes… I needed (sex) on New Year’s Eve.”

She added: “I feel like we were vibing on New Year’s Eve, we had a good time.”

But Cardi insisted she is not back with her rapper ex.

Their night together happened after ‘WAP’ rapper Cardi and her Migos emcee ex performed separate sets at the Fontainebleau Hotel for New Year’s Eve.

Cardi, born Belcalis Almánzar, and Offset – whose real name is Kiari Cephus – have been spending a lot of time together since she announced they split after more than six years of marriage.

They also celebrated Christmas together with their two children – daughter Kulture, five, and two-year-old son Wave, and on 28 December a fan shared photos taken of the pair shopping in New York.

Cardi and Offset secretly married in September 2017.

She told fans in an Instagram Live chat in December about her plan to overhaul her life in 2024 in the wake of their split: “Don’t wait until the 25th or like three days before the new year.

“We keep saying every year, ‘New year, new me, new this, new that’… I’m taking that to the heart!... you gotta rid of dead weight and when it comes to dead weight, I’ll say mentality, procrastination, laziness and people.

“A lot of people are dead weight, too. Next year is gonna be all about me.”
