The Celebrity Traitors is to be rocked by a massive twist.

The all-star version of the BBC game show is reaching its final stages and it's now been revealed the next episode due to air on Thursday (29.10.26) features a "sensational turn of events" that noone saw coming.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Just when you think you know exactly how the series will play out, there’s another sensational turn of events.

"It’s one which no one is likely to see coming - the producers of the show certainly didn’t predict it. The likes of this has never been seen on the show before, and may never be seen again.

"It all adds up to make the semi-final an absolutely unmiss-able episode and the perfect lead into the finale on Friday."

The exact nature of the twist has not been revealed in order to avoid spoiling the fun for viewers.

The last episode of the show was left on a cliff-hanger as fans were left waiting to find out whether Joanne McNally or Sharon Rooney would be banished from the castle with King Kenny set to reveal his double vote at the round table.

The last contestant to leave the game was Miranda Hart, who was 'murdered' by Traitors Maya Jama, James Acaster and King Kenny on Friday's (23.10.26) episode.

After finding out her fate, the actress was overcome with emotion about returning to TV after a Lyme disease diagnosis left her bed-bound.

Speaking after opening the envelope which confirmed her 'murder', Miranda said: "Ultimately, in my little personal story, this has been quite extraordinary that I've been able to get back and do the thing that I love professionally and do the things that I love personally, like wandering around a Scottish highland and being in nature and laughing and connecting. There were times that I didn't think that would be possible again."

The Miranda star explained she has sorely missed working on TV during her "very hard road" back to health.

She said: "I have missed doing television so much and it has been a very hard road to get to a place after restricting long term illness to be fit enough to do something again."

Miranda explained she was relieved that she wasn't banished from the castle as she would have given a "mushy" speech otherwise.

She said: "I think it’s a good thing that I wasn’t banished because my speech would have ended up being emotional and mushy. I would have told them how precious the connection and the joy and playfulness had meant after years of not being able to experience that, knowing that they are the most important things in life. And then no doubt the floodgates would have opened.

"I also would have tried to extend the reveal of what I was an absurdly long time. Anything for some more airtime!"
