Laura Tobin turned down a chance to appear on Dancing on Ice the year before the ITV show was axed.

The Good Morning Britain weather presenter was unable to do the 2025 series of the skating competition because of her busy schedule, and she is gutted that her hopes of doing the show have been dashed as the programme was subsequently shelved.

BANG Showbiz spoke to Laura at the 2026 Best Heroes Awards, sponsored by DFS, held at The Waldorf Hilton, London on Tuesday night (13.10.26), and asked if she has been asked to take part in a big reality show, such as Strictly Come Dancing.

The 45-year-old meteorologist replied: "No, but Dancing on Ice, and then that didn't continue. That year I was busy, and then the next year they didn't run it."

Laura admitted she was keen to do the programme because she loves the opportunity to learn something new.

She added: "Years ago, I did a show on ITV called Drive where you got to learn to drive a four-by-four, banger cars. We had like six weeks of racing, and I just love learning something new. For me, if you learn something, that's great."

With Dancing on Ice no longer being an option, Laura is keeping her fingers crossed that Strictly Come Dancing bosses may offer her a place on the BBC Latin and Ballroom dance competition in the future.

She would follow in some of her Good Morning Britain co-stars' footsteps, including Susanna Reid, 55, and Ed Balls, 59, who did the show in 2013 and 2016, respectively.

Laura said: "I would love to do Strictly."

The TV star would jump at the chance of taking to the dance floor because her nine-year-old daughter Charlotte, whom she has with husband Dean Brown, is also a fan.

One reality show Laura has ruled out is I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!.

Her Good Morning Britain colleague Kate Garraway, 59, did the ITV jungle survival show in 2019, living in an Australian critter-filled camp on basic rations and taking part in gruesome Bushtucker Trials.

Anchor Richard Madeley, 70, did the programme the following year when it was based in Wales because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But for Laura, the experience would not be for her.

She explained: "I get really angry when I'm hungry, and it would be terrible."

With I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! off the cards, Laura is interested in following Kate by doing BBC's The Celebrity Traitors, which the latter did in 2025 - but on one condition.

Laura would want to be a Faithful, explaining: "I would be such a bad traitor because I can't lie. If they were like, ‘Are you a traitor?’ I'd be like, ‘No, I can’t do it!’"
