Taking to Instagram on October 3, the 55-year-old former glamour model shared an update with fans on growing out her platinum blonde hair dye, admitting she has found "real freedom and joy" in being herself.
Melinda had her hair styled in loose waves as she beamed for a selfie, and captioned the shot: "The grey grow out journey so far!
"I know not everyone wants to embrace the natural colour and I get that. I've had many wobbles, used highlights and toners to try and blend it in, and there are no rules, so whatever feels right for you is ok.
"But I am enjoying staying with it and I've found my hair has never felt healthier. And more importantly for me, I found real freedom and joy in just letting myself be. I think that's the greatest benefit.
"That and not buying into the conditioning that women are not allowed to age and that beauty is confined to the expectations of those that profit from it. (sic)"
The Dancing on Ice 2009 star encouraged people to do whatever they want with their locks, as long as it makes them happy.
Melinda, who is now a psychotherapist, concluded: "There’s nothing wrong with colouring your hair, embracing your grey, changing your mind or doing whatever makes you feel good. And this feels good for me. (sic)"
Fans took to the post's comments section to compliment the Celebrity Big Brother 2002 finalist's new look, as one penned: "You look stunning and love that you’re embracing your natural beauty and it’ll inspire others to be ‘free’ too (sic)."
A second supporter typed: "Wow growing old beautifully and gracefully (sic)."
And a third follower wrote: "Best you’ve ever looked @melinda.j.messenger_ very natural and you look very comfortable in yourself (sic)."
Melinda, who ditched her blonde locks in 2022, previously said she was cruelly trolled over deciding to embrace her natural grey hair.
Per the Daily Mail, the Cowboy Builders host explained: "It was definitely about embracing a stage of life. Most people were nice, but some were like, 'It looks disgusting, you look so old, why would you do that?'"
