Celebrity Traitors' Rob Beckett and Maya Jama think team behind hit show has done them 'dirty'
The Celebrity Traitors duo Rob Beckett and Maya Jama have a bone to pick with members of the team promoting the BBC show.
Rob Beckett and Maya Jama think The Celebrity Traitors team have done them "all dirty".
The 40-year-old comedian, who is appearing on the second series of the hit BBC show alongside the likes of Miranda Hart, Michael Sheen and Richard E. Grant, has complained on social media after seeing his official headshot.
He wrote on Instagram: "I think there is a traitor in the photoshop department.... what the f*** has happened to my face?"
TV presenter Maya Jama was quick to reply, as she commented: "They did us all dirty tbh."
Rob's wife couldn't resist her own cheeky dig at the photo, as she joked he looked better in the headshot than he does in their family snaps.
She quipped: "I’m using AI to replace you in every photo in the house with this one."
Rob is joined in the Traitors castle by his close friend and fellow comedian Romesh Ranganathan.
Romesh recently admitted that it will be "weird" to see how their dynamic affects things as the game goes on.
He told the BBC: "Rob is one of my best friends, and we've worked together for a decade now, but I still won't be able to trust it.
"I mean, he's just as easily going to be on my side as he is going to twist the knife in my back given the opportunity. I mean, it's completely unpredictable.
"So, it's going to be a weird thing where normally when we're doing Rob and Romesh Vs, we've got each other's backs and are helping each other out. Whereas this time, he can't be trusted."
He joked that the money to be made from their working partnership means things can't get too fractured.
He added: "It can't be the end of the relationship because it's financially beneficial. But I think if it wasn't financially beneficial, then it could be the end of the friendship."
Meanwhile, The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman admitted that Rob was made her laugh so much she had to "hide" until she had calmed down.
She said: "They all made me laugh. They are all utterly brilliant and the funniest people on earth. Rob Beckett said something that made me hide in a bush until I composed myself."
The Celebrity Traitors returns to BBC One on October 1.
