Douglas Booth: 'National sweetheart' Michelle Keegan should be in more shows
The Blame actor Douglas Booth has heaped praise on Michelle Keegan and admitted he's "surprised" she hasn't been in more projects.

The 34-year-old actor appears with the 39-year-old star in new ITV police drama The Blame and while she's earned plaudits for roles like Brassic, Ten Pound Poms and Fool Me Once over the last six years, he's shocked Michelle hasn't been on screen more often.
Asked if she could be "the next Sheridan Smith", he told the Metro newspaper's 60 Seconds column: "What surprised me is that she actually hasn't been in that much stuff, because she's been doing it for so long.
"But she's just in really good things. She really has just been in good quality stuff from a young age."
Michelle was first cast as Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street, appeared in the ITV soap until 2014.
Since then, she's had roles in the likes of Ordinary Lies, Our Girl, Plebs, and Tina and Bobby.
After her success in Fool Me Once, she'll be leading another Harlan Coben adaptation for Netflix, based on his 2007 novel The Woods.
Reflecting on her talent and popularity, Douglas added: "I saw it first-hand, just being around her, out and about a lot, and around the crew and their families at times, she's just loved.
"Whether we're just in the bagel shop, she's a national sweetheart. And I think she's relatable, you know."
Michelle worked on the show shortly after giving birth to her and husband Mark Wright's daughter Parma in March 2025.
She and Douglas hadn't actually met before working together on The Blame, which is adapted from Charlotte Langley's novel of the same name, and stars the duo as detectives Emma Crane and Tom Bradley.
He said: "I didn't know [Michelle] at all, which is rare these days. She's famously one of the nicest people in the business and she's so good.
"It helps any job you do if you get on really well with your co-star.
"But also she's like Superwoman, she's just had a baby. Incredible mum, incredible professional."
Douglas had his breakout role as Boy George in BBC Two film Worried About The Boy back in 2010, going onto appear in the likes of Great Expectations, Romeo and Juliet, and Netflix biopic The Dirt.
