The Inbetweeners 3 confirmed by Netflix and production is already underway

The Inbetweeners stars are returning for a third film.
Netflix confirmed production started on Monday (07.09.26) for a third movie in the series, which is based on the popular sitcom.
Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas will reprise their roles as Will McKenzie, Jay Cartwright, Neil Sutherland and Simon Cooper.
The Inbetweeners creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris will return to write and direct the film.
They said: "It's been super-fun hanging out with our friends again, and we're going to work hard every week to ensure there are no problemos making this new film for humans."
The Inbetweeners 3 will be produced by Claire Jones alongside Banijay’s Patrick Holland and Fudge Park Production’s Mark Lesbirel.
Caroline Levy, Caroline Leddy, Phil Gilbert, Suzanne Knight, Tom Jordan, and Farhana Bhula will serve as executive producers alongside Iain and Damon.
An official announcement video saw the four lads get back into Simon's dilapidated Fiat Cinquecento Hawaii.
Once bright yellow, the motor is now covered in dust and dirt.
As Simon tries to start up the engine, the car won't go.
He sighs and says: "Oh for f***'s sake. Come on."
Fortunately, the car starts moving and the quartet are off to begin production on a new Inbetweeners movie.
As the car drives away a "3" can be seen written in the grime of the back windscreen.
The coming-of-age comedy series was originally broadcast on Channel 4 between 2008 and 2010, and the hugely successful show spawned two films - 2011's The Inbetweeners and The Inbetweeners 2, which dropped in 2014.
The first movie set a record for the biggest opening weekend for a UK comedy at the time of its release.
Earlier this year, it was reported by The Sun newspaper that a new Inbetweeners movie was on the horizon.
Netflix are also said to be keen for Emily Atack to reprise her role as Charlotte “Big Jugs” Hinchcliffe in the new film.
A source told the publication: "The creators of the show have written the script and are ready to roll - but Emily is one of the missing pieces in the project they’re keen to get in place.
"Fans will already be delighted that the four main leads are returning as there was concern that a reboot might see new, younger actors cast in the roles of the lads, who were all supposed to be teenagers in the show.
"But it’s fair to say getting Emily back would be the cherry on the Inbetweeners cake."
