Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh faces her fear of water in the new ITV game show, The Box.

Viewers will see the Good Morning Britain host face her fear of water in the new ITV game show, The Box, which is fronted by Gary Lineker and sees him encourage a group of stars to take on either a mental, logical, hilarious, daunting or physical task.
Ahead of its launch on Saturday (05.09.26), Good Morning Britain aired a preview clip of Ranvir, 49, "shaking" in fear as she and another contestant tried to climb down a wall into water, and admitting she cannot swim.
In a confessional, the journalist revealed why she fears water, saying: "A long time ago, when I was really, really little, I nearly drowned. Since then, I've always had a panic response to water if my feet can't touch the ground."
As they cut back to the studio during Friday's (04.09.26's) edition of the morning news programme, Ranvir's co-host Kate Garraway, 59, said: "I didn't know you had a fear of water?"
Ranvir replied: "Yeah, it's been there forever. I was about two or three when I jumped into a pool and went under."
Joining Ranvir on The Box are Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two host Ellie Taylor and ex-Dragons' Den star Sara Davies, both 42, The Chase quizzer Jenny Ryan, 44, and 36-year-old The Only Way Is Essex alum Joey Essex
The lineup is rounded off by Love Island alum Shakira Khan, 23, former Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow, 63, JLS singer JB Gill, 39, Liverpool football legend Graeme Souness, 73, and 24-year-old content creator Danny Aarons.
In each episode, the group is taken to an unknown destination in a box, but they do not know their daunting challenge until the door opens to them.
And former Match of the Day host Gary, 65, would be terrible on his show.
He is quoted by the latest issue of new! magazine as saying: "Honestly, I'd like to say I'd be ice cool - I spent a career in football being calm.
"But that's a very different kind of pressure to being winched sky high above Brighton seafront with no idea what's coming next.
"If I was doing that one, I think The Box would open, I'd take one look and go straight back inside it - and ask the team to shoot the door again."
He added: "It's different - it's something I've never done before, which appealed to me, alongside the unique nature of the concept.
"It's fun, it's family-friendly, and it's great primetime telly. What's not to like?"
The Box airs on Saturday at 8.15pm on ITV1.
