James Buckley's wife Clair has admitted the actor is "still drinking", despite his recent health issues.

The Inbetweeners star recently revealed he had cut out alcohol and overhauled his diet after doctors discovered he has high Lipoprotein(a) - a genetically inherited type of blood cholesterol - which has put him at risk of suffering numerous health issues including heart problems in the future.
However, his spouse Clair has now admitted James hasn't given up alcohol entirely and still enjoys nights out at the pub.
Speaking on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, she said: “He still drinks! He did knock it on the head for a little while, but he still goes to the pub.”
The 38-year-old actor had revealed his health problem was discovered after a blood test but he was feeling philosophical about his diagnosis.
Speaking on his and Clair's At Home With The Buckleys podcast, he said: "I've also had health problems ... Got a genetic disease mate! ... It's something to do with my Lipoprotein(a), something to do with that.
"There's nothing you can do about it, by the way. And the doctor's just been like: 'You need to change'.
"I'm at a high risk now for a cardiovascular incident. My heart, my arteries. I'm not a religious man, but sometimes I feel like there is a God that sort of goes 'That'll teach you'.
"I feel like I've been on this podcast slagging people off that don't drink. And now I’ve been told to rein it in ... Yeah, we have boring stuff. But I'm going to have a beer soon.
"I’m just trying to do like a little bit of a reset. We were drinking beer every day during Covid [...] so we’ve had a bit of a wake-up now."
James went on to admit he worries his two sons Harrison and Jude may also inherit the condition.
He added: "Another little worry is that because it’s genetic my children might have it.
"They’re fine at their age, its when they get to my age that’s when it might become a problem."
The news comes just months after James expressed his love for pubs and insisted he hates seeing so many boozers closing down.
He told BBC News in March 2026: "[Pubs are] sacred. I grew up in a working men's club, it was the hub of our community.
"Even to this day I can't believe my luck when I get to go down the pub. I absolutely love it so much and it's a shame to see pubs closing down."
