Holly Willoughby has admitted that she became "so lazy" in her time away from the spotlight following her departure from ITV's This Morning in 2023.

The 45-year-old presenter recently returned to the spotlight for the launch of her new YouTube show Together and explained how she was shocked by the amount of time she spent resting following her exit from the ITV daytime staple in 2023.
Speaking on the Bottom's Up! podcast with Alan Carr and Lee Peart, Holly said: "Well, what I discovered was once I stopped working was that I am so lazy.
"For somebody who worked a lot and was really busy and people were like, 'I don't know how you do it, how do you keep so many plates spinning?'
"I was like, wow, I'm literally half woman-half mattress. I adapted like that."
Elsewhere in the podcast, Holly revealed how she keeps eating to cure a hangover.
The former Dancing on Ice host said: "I eat my way through the day. So it'll be like a fry-up, it'll be picky bits. I suddenly go really like eighties and I'm like scotch egg, pork pie, Marks and Spencer's picky bits.
"One of my favourite kind of guilty pleasures is those plastic cheese slices. Getting a square one, then you get a pork scratching, put it in the middle, fold it up like a little wonton."
Holly left This Morning after 14 years on the sofa in 2023 after it was revealed that she had been the victim of a horrific kidnap plot that saw Gavin Plumb, 39, jailed for life and she confessed that she "wasn't sure" she would make a return to presenting in the aftermath.
The star – who has children Harry, 17, Belle, 15, and Chester, 11, with her husband Dan Baldwin – said: "If I'm being really honest, everybody knows what happened to me and I just needed time out.
"I needed to go: 'Do you know, I need to park all of that. I'm just going to spend time with my family and my friends and see how I am and see what happens. And then when it feels right I'll go back.'
"But there was a time when I wasn't sure whether that would ever be a thing. I feel good now, though. I wouldn’t be doing this if I wasn’t. This is a really good sign that I feel ready."
