George Clarke has reportedly signed up for Celebrity Gladiators.

The 26-year-old influencer reached the final of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing in 2025 with Love Island alum Amber Davies, 29, narrowly missing out on the coveted Glitterball Trophy to footballer-turned-pundit Karen Carney, 38, and now George is said to be eyeing the corporation's other Saturday night show.

A TV insider told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "BBC bosses were impressed with the fact that, although he didn’t come from a dance background, George really threw himself into everything – and he did it with humility and humour.

"They’re all qualities he’ll need when he clashes with the Gladiators.

"But he knows it’s as much about physical strength and agility as anything else, and it’s fair to say he’ll be going up against some blokes who will dwarf him."

Filming of Celebrity Gladiators is set to start next week at Sheffield Arena, and 38-year-old presenter AJ Odudu - who withdrew from the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 final due to injury - is also reportedly taking part.

It comes after her ITV shows M+S: Dress The Nation, which she hosts with Vernon Kay, 52, and Celebrity Big Brother, which AJ fronts with Will Best, 41, reportedly face being axed.

A TV insider told The Sun: "The timing of this is particularly interesting because since she did spectacularly well on Strictly in 2021, she hasn’t done any big shows for the Beeb.

"Instead, she seems to have focused her energies on ITV - but now a couple of her shows are facing the chop and Gladiators has come along.

"It will leave some people in TV Land wondering whether she might be considering making a long-term move back to where things really took off for her."

Fitness coach Joe Wicks, 40, Made in Chelsea alum Sam Thompson, 33, ex-Olympic boxer Nicola Adams, 43, and media personality Vogue Williams, 40, took part in the 2025 series of Celebrity Gladiators, with the latter winning the special.

And Vogue "couldn't walk properly for a week" as she suffered complete burnout after her body was pushed to the limit in multiple gruelling physical challenges against the BBC game show's elite athletes - known as the Gladiators - on Christmas Day 2025.

In March, Vogue - who won the show after she beat Nicola by 200th of a second in the nail-biting Eliminator - told RSVP magazine: "When the BBC asked me to do Gladiators, I couldn't say no - I mean it's Gladiators.

"I won it too, which was so unexpected. I was dead after that. I couldn't walk properly for like a week after - that's when I really knew I was 40."
