Love Island's star declines Rylan Clark's Dating Naked UK
A Love Island star was approached to participate in Dating Naked UK, fronted by Rylan Clark, but they turned it down.
Love Island's Charleen Murphy rejected the chance to participate in Channel 4's Dating Naked UK.
The 28-year-old model has been bombarded with TV offers since she was dumped from the ITV2 matchmaking show's Majorca villa on July 7 after her romance with Kavan Murphy, 21, in Casa Amor ended as he wanted to be with his original lover, 27-year-old Jasmine Müller
On the latest episode of 29-year-old Joe Baggs' Not My Bagg podcast, Charleen revealed that one of the offers was to do 37-year-old Rylan Clark's programme, Dating Naked UK, in which 10 singletons bare all as they get to know each other on a tropical island.
After the Gogglebox alum Joe asked Charleen if she would do Dating Naked, the blonde beauty replied: "I got asked… someone texted me about that.
"Sorry I’m not doing that, not for free."
Based on the Paramount+ show of the same name, Dating Naked launched in the UK in August 2024, and it has produced two series.
Rylan - who serves as a creative consultant on Dating Naked UK - previously reflected that part of the show’s appeal is that it's a “social experiment” where anything could have happened.
In August 2024, he told Grazia: “Things occur in this series that only occur because they’re all naked. It’s a social experiment as much as it’s a dating show.
"We didn’t know what was going to happen when we put however many naked people in a house to date. It could have been an orgy from the first day!"
The X Factor 2012 star mused that everyone quickly “became so comfortable” with being starkers.
Rylan said: "Something just happened, and I think it’s the fact they were all naked and all different that made them feel confident in that group.
"They just became so comfortable with each other because they’re all in the same boat."
The BBC Radio 2 presenter - who split from his husband, Dan Neal, in 2021 - said Dating Naked UK is a show he would not take part in.
However, he would be open to hosting in the buff.
In August 2025, Rylan told Bella Magazine: "I haven't got a problem with it, but I probably wouldn't do the show now.
"If they wanted me to host it naked... I did suggest that actually, but they said no!"
