Gemma Collins embarks on summer social media break as she teases future plans
TOWIE icon Gemma Collins is embarking on a two-month social media break ahead of her new Sky One show, Four Weddings and a Baby, airing in September.
Gemma Collins is embarking on a two-month social media break.
The former TOWIE star took to Instagram to reveal she is giving the site a rest until September, and she encouraged her fans to have a break from their phones during the summer and "tell the people you love how much they mean to you".
She wrote on Instagram: "I will see you all again in September.
"The summer holiday season is here, and I just wanted to wish everyone the most beautiful summer.
"Whether you’re travelling the world, enjoying a staycation, spending time with family and friends, or simply slowing down, I hope these sunny weeks are filled with love, laughter, warmth, and memories you’ll treasure.
"Life moves quickly, so remember to put the phone down now and then, soak up the sunsets, share long lunches, and enjoy those spontaneous moments.
"Take time to tell the people you love how much they mean to you, and most importantly, be kind to yourself - rest when you need to and give yourself the same care and compassion you offer to others.
"Have a wonderful summer break, stay safe, and make every moment count."
Gemma will return to Instagram in a couple of months when her new show, Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby, airs on Sky One.
The 45-year-old businesswoman is excited to share her new eight-episode series - in which she will plan multiple marriage celebrations to long-time love, Rami Hawash - after spending more than a year making the fly-on-the-wall programme.
She added: "I’ll be back in September with my brand new show on @skytv which I have been making for over a year now and I can’t wait to share what’s been keeping me busy with you all!
Sending you all so much love. Enjoy your summer holidays! (sic)"
Before signing off for the summer, Gemma also backed England to win the World Cup, adding: "PS ... it’s coming home"
Last month, Gemma took to Instagram to reveal her mother Joan had been rushed to hospital with pneumonia.
She posted a photo of Joan in her hospital bed, telling fans that she is on the mend.
The picture was captioned: "Sending my mummy so much love she has caught Pneumonia but she is doing well thank you to all the wonderful nurses and doctors for looking after her.
"Still looking glam mummy. (sic)"
