Shona McGarty has shared a preview of her new single.
The 34-year-old actress launched her singing career in 2025, a year after leaving EastEnders, and Shona has now dropped a preview of her new single on social media.
Shona - who played Whitney Dean on EastEnders for 16 years - captioned her Instagram post: "Wrote a song about my favorite uninvited house guest: ‘Mr Anxiety’.
"First teaser is officially here! If you’re a certified overthinker who makes up entire scenarios in your head at 3 AM, this one is for you!
"Click my link in bio to pre save and let me know if it hits home. (sic)"
Shona was subsequently inundated with complimentary comments from her followers, including from Tony Discipline, who has been romantically linked to the actress in recent months.
Tony, 37 - who previously played Shona's on-screen love interest in EastEnders - replied to her post with a series of clapping and fire emojis.
Despite their rumoured romance, Shona is said to be making a concerted effort to keep her love life out of the spotlight for the moment, having learned some harsh lessons from her past experiences.
A source previously told The Sun newspaper: "Shona has been trolled mercilessly in the past over her relationships.
"There’s always been a spark there with Tony and finally they’re both single at the same time. They’re two people having fun getting to know each other in a whole new way."
At the time, the insider insisted that Shona and Tony's rumoured romance could still prove to be a brief fling or "the real deal".
The source explained: "This could be a summer romance or it could be the real deal. Either way, until they’re sure, they won’t be putting a label on things.
"Shona has been burned in the past by rushing into things when it comes to relationships.
"This time around she’s determined to enjoy it rather than have it picked apart on social media."
