Vinnie Jones In the Country has reportedly been axed after three seasons.

It is believed the Discovery+ show, which documented the 61-year-old footballer-turned-actor's life on a 2,000-acre country estate in West Sussex, has been shelved amid Paramount's $110 billion deal to buy Warner Bros Discovery, which owns the streaming platform.

An insider told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "Vinnie Jones In The Country was a huge success and was a Discovery+ number one series, but it was also very expensive to make precisely because it is a big show.

"With deliberations on the sale of Warner Bros ongoing, a lot of big-money commissions are being halted while the purchase goes through.

"Only time will tell if it returns for a fourth series, though there is the possibility of the programme - or a variation of it - going elsewhere as Vinnie remains hugely popular with viewers."

Vinnie's In The Country show started in 2023 and saw him tackle transforming a series of dilapidated buildings on its grounds.

The series also followed the star's relationship with his personal assistant Emma Ford, 48, after his wife Tanya lost her six-year battle with cancer in July 2019 at the age of 53.

In September 2020, Vinnie expressed an interest in fronting a wildlife show.

During an appearance on Radio X's The Chris Moyles Show, Vinnie said: "I'm out early Moylesy, I'm out at, you know, 5.30am in the morning and I get out there and I see what animals are around, and the countryside and the wildlife.

"As you know, I'm big into conservation and wildlife. I'm trying to get a TV show, actually, going about wildlife. I'd love to do that.

"You know, explaining to the young kids about the streams and the rivers and the fields and the flowers and the trees of Britain."

Vinnie will soon be back on screens in the second series of 57-year-old filmmaker Guy Ritchie's Netflix's action-comedy series, The Gentlemen, in which he plays gamekeeper Geoff Seacombe.
