Nadiya Bychkova is already in talks for a Strictly Come Dancing return.

The 36-year-old star is one of several pro dancers axed from the BBC Latin and ballroom show ahead of the new series later this year, but the door could be open for a sensational comeback in another role.

Asked if she could return, she told HELLO! magazine: "Absolutely, It is absolutely [on the cards].

"We are talking about, hopefully in the future, me coming and choreographing some of the pro numbers.

"The team have known for years how passionate I am about creating things and choreographing. Lots of producers came to watch shows that I did myself."

She described a potential return in that role as a "natural" move in the future.

She added: "This is the natural thing to do, because of what I love and want to do.

"It would be beautiful to see some of my creations and stories [that] I want to tell through dance on Strictly one day."

Nadiya first joined Strictly in 2017 and was paired with EastEnders star Davood Ghadami, going onto dance with the likes of Blue star Lee Ryan, retired England goalkeeper David James, musician Matt Goss and more.

Despite feeling "emotional" about her departure after almost a decade, she dancer is focusing on the positives.

She said: "You do feel emotional about things that are ending, but it's a good emotion of carrying on with the next thing that is coming.

"I'm feeling very excited about new things, exciting projects - and, obviously, feeling incredibly grateful for nine years on the show."

Meanwhile, it's been reported that Nadiya is a top target for ITV bosses ahead of the new series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

A TV source told The Sun newspaper: "Nadiya has always been on the radar but has been unable to take part because of her commitment to Strictly. Now she’s a free agent, the offers have been coming in thick and fast.

"She’s had several chats about doing the jungle. Bosses are so impressed with her it’s even been suggested she turns down other shows."

Nadiya previously addressed her Strictly exit on social media.

The blonde beauty wrote on Instagram: "After 9 wonderful years, this part of my journey with Strictly Come Dancing is evolving.

"There is something truly special about being part of a programme that plays such a big part in so many people’s lives and I want to thank all those who have sent beautiful messages over the last few weeks and those who have voted, shouted, supported, celebrated and cheered during every series.

"I also want to take a moment to appreciate all those who have helped me along the way: my partners, my fellow professionals, the judges and brilliant people behind the scenes.

"I joined the show as an athlete and a double world champion. Along the way I have learned so much about myself and other people. I have grown, not only professionally, but personally and creatively.

"Strictly has allowed me to discover new sides of myself, develop new skills, and evolve as an artist in ways I will always be grateful for. (sic)"

Nadiya also offered an insight into her future plans.

She wrote: "I’m excited to have time to focus on new projects, and to spend more precious time with my beautiful daughter. Life feels full of possibilities.

"I danced before Strictly, I loved dancing on the show and I plan to keep dancing for many years to come.

"Thank you for all the love and support along the way [heart emoji] (sic)"
