Nadiya Bychkova has to take a different training approach with each one of her Strictly Come Dancing partners.
The 36-year-old dancer has been paired with the likes of Blue singer Lee Ryan, former footballer David James, swimmer Tom Dean and presenter Dan Walker over the years and she enjoyed getting to learn more about herself through finding the most effective ways to work with the celebrities.
Asked if she changes her methods to suit her partners on Strictly Come Dancing, Nadiya told BANG Showbiz: “I always do. As a teacher it’s always been my mentality to try and adapt to who I am teaching.
“I have had quite a few athletes in my Strictly career but they were all very different, so my approach every time was different.
"This is one of the things I love about Strictly I get to know new things, I get to know new ways of teaching, it’s very different training a celebrity to teaching a competitor. I am always learning something new about myself as well.”
Nadiya recently tipped current show judge - and former professional dancer - Anton Du Beke to make the move into a hosting role following the departures of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
When asked who she would like to take over presenting duties, Nadiya told BANG Showbiz: "I think there are many good candidates out there, so let's see. They are big shoes to fill, at the same time those people are going to bring something new and something different.
"Maybe Anton. I know he's a judge, but who knows. I think he could be amazing.
"There are so many wonderful people who in the past are connected with Strictly some how. I absolutely love Zoe Ball. I'm sure it's going to be two really amazing people. We'll see."
Anton sits on the judging panel alongside Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse.
Nadiya - who was partnered with former rugby union player Chris Robshaw on the last series of Strictly Come Dancing - will be back in the hunt for the glitterball trophy in 2026 and she is expecting the next series to be "bigger and better", just like it is every previous year.
She said: "Every year Strictly manages to improve. It's a incredible show, especially in terms of production, somehow it's always getting fresher and bigger and better. I'm sure it's going to be an incredible series."
