Coronation Street's Anthony Crank 'split from fiance after almost 10 years'
It has been reported that Coronation Street alum Anthony Crank and his long-time fiance Craig Lomax have split - months before their 10-year anniversary.
Coronation Street alum Anthony Crank has reportedly split from his fiance - less than a year after they got engaged.
The 52-year-old actor, who played drug dealer Dean Turnbull in the ITV soap from 2022 until 2024, and artist Craig Lomax "amicably" called their relationship quits - months before their 10-year anniversary in December.
A source close to the exes told The Sun: "It’s a really sad situation. It’s all amicable, and they remain friends, but it’s sad for them and sad for their dogs.
"Anthony and Craig had been together for years before deciding to get engaged. They were making plans for their big day, but sadly they realised that their relationship had run its course."
In August 2025, the pair took to Instagram to announce their engagement.
Anthony and Craig posted an adorable shot of their hands entwined as they showed off the chunky signet-style gold ring, which featured a square turquoise-blue stone.
The caption read: "@craig_lomax 31/12/2016 - ???? (sic)"
Fans flooded the post's comments section with congratulatory messages, as one penned: "Ahhhh congratulations!! Best get me best frock ready!! xx (sic)."
A second supporter typed: "Beautiful, and love the rings."
And a third follower wrote: "Did you boys just get engaged! Congratulations. Sexiest couple ever! xxx (sic)."
Anthony fronted Channel 4 and E4's young adult block, T4, from 2002 until 2005.
He spoke to the likes of Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie, 50, and Martin Scorsese, 83, as well as activist-and-former South African President, Nelson Mandela, who died in December 2013 at the age of 95.
The presenter landed the hosting job after he was scouted in Ibiza, Spain.
In 2013, Anthony told Manchester Evening News: "It all kicked off from there, really. T4 is like the Oxford and Cambridge of TV, you get to learn your craft so well there."
The TV star made his Coronation Street debut in 2011, playing an unnamed police officer.
In 2022, he rejoined the ITV soap as drug dealer Dean Turnbull, but Anthony bid farewell to the cobbles in 2024.
The entertainer's other acting credits include Hollyoaks, Shameless, and Accused.
