Happy Mondays' Bez 'signs up for Cooking with the Stars'
It has been reported that Happy Mondays member Bez will be on the new series of ITV's Cooking with the Stars.
Happy Mondays' Bez has reportedly signed up for ITV's Cooking With The Stars.
The 62-year-old dancer-and-DJ - real name Mark Berry - wants to continue his success on culinary programmes, having reached the semi-final of BBC's Celebrity MasterChef in 2021.
A source told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "ITV is delighted to have Bez on board. He’s chaotic in the best possible way and will bring the laughs with his brilliant anecdotes. And he’s a dab hand in the kitchen."
It is believed that Bez will be joined by TV personality Scarlett Moffatt, 35, and comedian Seann Walsh, 40, fresh from their appearance on I'm A Celebrity...South Africa, on Cooking with the Stars, fronted by comic Tom Allen, 42, and the reported new Strictly Come Dancing host, Emma Willis, 50.
An insider also told the publication: "ITV bosses loved Scarlett Moffatt and Seann Walsh on the recent series of I’m A Celeb: South Africa, so wasted no time snapping them up for Cooking With The Stars.
"There was a lot of drama in the camp this year and a lot of very tense TV, but Scarlett and Seann both came across so well.
"They didn’t put a foot wrong, and viewers loved them, so they are perfect for a feel-good show like Cooking With The Stars.
"They’re fun, up for anything and could be real forces to be reckoned with in the kitchen."
Scarlett and Seann's reported signing comes a month after the pair were a part of the explosive I'm A Celebrity...South Africa final.
It saw Waterloo Road alum Adam Thomas, former Wigan Athletic midfielder Jimmy Bullard and former boxer David Haye have a bust-up over how the series was edited.
Jimmy, 47, accused Adam, 37, of being "abusive, aggressive and intimidating" in a pair's trial, shot in 2025, when the latter launched into an expletive-filled rant after Jimmy ended the trial, which meant both going home until their co-stars decided to save Adam.
The ex-footballer claimed the explosive row was much worse, in that Adam also used the C-word, and in the final, Jimmy called on ITV to show the full unedited version - which host Ant McPartlin, 50, insisted was "unbroadcastable".
David, 45, meanwhile, was accused by viewers of "bullying" Adam on I'm A Celebrity...South Africa, after he branded the Waterloo Road alum "useless” and “lazy" following the actor’s withdrawal from challenges because of feeling dehydrated and ill.
The sportsman denied it was "bullying", but the comments were "banter", and he backed Jimmy's claim that the series was edited to favour Adam.
Adam was downcast when he ended up being crowned the I'm A Celebrity...Legend.
