Richard Osman is hosting a "devilish" new gameshow for ITV.
The Pointless and House of Games star is set to front The Golden Elevators for the broadcaster, in a series which will see 10 contestants battling each other to reach the penthouse with a huge cash prize.
Richard said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be hosting The Golden Elevators. I signed up the moment they showed me the game.
"It's so simple, but it takes such skill to win — I've never seen a quiz show quite like it.
"I really can't wait for ITV viewers to see The Golden Elevators. Or, as I call it, The Golden Lifts."
The show is set in the lobby of a towering skyscraper, and the group of contestants are faced with simple A or B questions, with each of the two possible answers presented by an elevator.
The players have until the doors close to confer, debate, persuade and mislead each other before choosing an answer.
Anyone who steps into the correct lift gets closer to the top, while the wrong one sends everyone inside straight back to the bottom, where they're out of the game.
Every players who reaches the penthouse will split the jackpot, meaning contestants can either trust each other and use their collective knowledge, or try and deceive people to nab the whole prize.
Tim Harcourt, Chief Creative Officer at Studio Lambert, said: “This simple game of questions and answers is fused with some of the most devilish game-play ever.
"The combination of the team at ITV, Jasper [Hoogendoorn] and John DeMol's Talpa Studios, as well as national treasure Richard Osman, makes this feel like an all-star galactico TV line up. We can’t wait to share it with audiences.”
Katie Rawcliffe, ITV's Director of Entertainment, Reality and Daytime Commissioning, hailed Richard as "the exceptional King of gameshows".
She added: "[The Golden Elevators is] fast-paced, full of twists and turns, and with play-along perfect for primetime."
Meanwhile, producers are already hopeful the show can become a global format.
Jasper Hoogendoorn, Chief Creative Officer at Talpa Studios, added: “The ambitions for this new format have been sky-high from the start.
"We are already in advanced discussions with multiple territories, and the strong international traction proves we’re building something truly special
"Together with our fantastic partners at Studio Lambert, we’re incredibly grateful for ITV’s trust in becoming the first territory outside the Netherlands to join us on this journey.”
