Charlotte Hawkins almost snapped at a restaurant diner who let a door slam in her face.

The Good Morning Britain anchor was triggered by the man's "rudeness", but she ultimately refrained from confronting him.

Charlotte is quoted by the Daily Mail newspaper's Eden Confidential column as saying: "The other day in a restaurant, I nearly took a man on after he let a door slam in my face.

"Then I thought, 'It's not worth it.' We're all on this planet together. Small things that show people you're considerate matter."

The broadcaster is not always as calm as she appears on the ITV breakfast news programme.

In May 2025, she told the newspaper's column at the preview of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show: "I know I give the appearance of being cool, calm and collected, but I do sometimes get wound up."

Charlotte releases her frustration by ripping out weeds, adding: "It's therapy to me. I go outside and attack the weeds really aggressively."

The star has been a regular face on Good Morning Britain since 2014, and Charlotte still adores her job - despite the early 2.45am alarm each morning.

In November 2025, she told the Sunday Mirror newspaper's Notebook magazine: "I love being a part of GMB. It really does feel like a family, which is special.

"It's such a privilege to wake people up in the morning and get to tell them what's going on in the world first."

Speaking about getting up at 2.45am, Charlotte added: "That's a tough start to the day, but you all sort of bond together as members of the Early Risers' Club, because everybody feels your pain."

The Classic FM presenter thinks her 10-year-old daughter, Ella Rose - whom she has with her husband Mark Herbert - will become a journalist.

Charlotte said: "She just loves it if she gets the opportunity to pop into the newsroom."

And the newsreader encourages Ella Rose - who melted Good Morning Britain viewers' hearts when she interviewed singer George Ezra, 32, on the show in August 2022 - to follow her dreams.

Charlotte said: "I always say to my daughter, 'Never give up on your dreams.' Because even if you go down a different path, you never know where you'll end up."
