Loose Women's Charlene White happy not being married to longtime partner
Loose Women anchor Charlene White has been in a longtime relationship with her partner Andy Woodfield.
Charlene White and her longtime partner Andy Woodfield are happy not being married.
The 45-year-old broadcaster and the 46-year-old TV producer have been together for 14 years and have a nine-year-old son named Alfie and a seven-year-old daughter called Florence.
Charlene was thrilled that her Loose Women co-star, journalist Janet Street-Porter, 79, and her partner of 26 years, entrepreneur and former restaurateur Peter Spanton, got married in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, in February.
But when asked by Best magazine if Janet getting married for a fifth time has made Charlene want to follow suit, she declared: "Oh no!
“I'm fine as I am. I've got a mortgage to pay, and I've got two young children to look after. We are happy as we are."
Janet's previous husbands were photographer Tim Street-Porter (1967–1975), Time Out magazine founder Tony Elliott (1974–1977), documentary filmmaker Frank Cvitanovich (1979–1981), and salesman David Sorkin (1997–1999).
And Charlene was surprised when she found out Janet and Peter got hitched.
The Loose Women anchor recalled: "I actually read that when I was in the studio at ITV News. I was online, and I thought, 'What's this all about?' I felt really quite emotional because I know how much Peter means to her.
"I did what I'm not supposed to do while I'm on-air, and I took my phone off airplane mode and popped her a message just to say, 'I'm so pleased and happy for you both.'"
Charlene continued: "I couldn't wait to give them both a huge hug. By the end of my news programme, she had messaged me back.
"I am beside myself with joy for that woman because she's so full of joy herself and so much love. I'm so happy that she has Peter."
According to Yours magazine, Charlene and Andy met at a mutual pal's birthday bash in 2015.
She penned in The Guardian: "I knew from the moment I met him at a friend’s party the year before, that he was 'the one.'"
And Charlene has previously shared whether or not she and Andy will eventually get married.
The I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! 2022 campmate is quoted by Yours magazine as saying: "They’re (Loose Women cast) are obsessed with me getting married, but I’m happy with the way that we are and it kind of works for us.
"I know that a lot of the married Loose Women find that strange, but it works for us.”
