Charlene White reveals Royal Family member as her dream Loose Women panellist, but which one?
Loose Women anchor Charlene White wants a certain member of Britain's Royal Family to appear on the ITV show as a panellist.
Charlene White's dream Loose Women panellist is Catherine, Princess of Wales.
The 45-year-old broadcaster regularly anchors the ITV daytime show and has revealed that she would love to give Britain's future queen the "opportunity" to talk openly about her life on the programme.
Speaking to Bella magazine, Charlene said: "I'd quite like to have Princess Kate on the show.
"When we regularly do our all-black panel, for example, I'd love her to be on something like that because I think the kind of talks and conversations that she could have would be amazing.
"But also she doesn't get an opportunity to shout from the rooftop about her girl gang. For her to be on the show with us, she would get that opportunity, and we would get to talk about ours."
Loose Women is now broadcast without an audience due to cost-cutting measures at ITV but Charlene says the change wasn't particularly difficult for her to adapt to as she became a regular on the programme in 2021 – when there were restrictions in the studio due to the coronavirus crisis.
The ITV newsreader explained: "Because I started during Covid, I got used to doing the programme without having an audience, so, for me, it's a bit like going back to the beginning.
"But what's amazing is that the four of us – whoever the combination of four is – we just create that energy ourselves. It almost feels a little more intimate as well because we are sort of the only four people in the room.
"So it feels like more of a confessional, more being honest and not being afraid of getting emotional because you're in front of an audience, it's just us."
Charlene explained that she is particularly close to her fellow panellists Judi Love and Kelle Bryan.
She said: "Judi and I live not too far from each other so on New Year's Eve, for instance, I got to her house at about two o'clock in the morning and I got home about 4.45am. New Year's Day was a very long day for me!
"And is it ridiculous for me to say that I cannot believe I work with Kelle? It seems like I'm in some dream world to be working with the women that I do, and women that I've admired from afar.
"I get to sit with them and talk with them and call them my friends. I just think I'm really lucky."
